The SMART Foundation

The SMART Foundation is a parent driven non-profit organization that works to establish and sustain Autism expertise, training programs and qualified local resources for children and families with autism spectrum disorders. A nationwide shortage of Autism expertise and absence of scientific research has resulted in growing gaps where children and families with Autism are without access to qualified healthcare and services in their local communities. The challenges facing families with Autism in our communities are diverse, complex and constantly evolving. This wide ranging combination of challenges requires us to explore a more diverse spectrum of solutions better suited to meet the individualized needs associated with Autism on a real life level.
